The Texas Lottery began issuing NFL-themed scratch-off tickets in 2009, starting with the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans. For 15 consecutive years, each team received a uniquely designed ticket celebrating Texas football pride.
Each ticket is mint, unscratched, and expired, making them rare collectibles with no gaming value. Because the Texas Lottery recalled and destroyed expired tickets, surviving examples in mint condition are exceptionally scarce.
